WISE-Shop 2 is a product developed by our partner, Weikatec Software GmbH. The result of many years of experience in software development, WISE-Shop 2 is a flexible, fast and lean e-shop framework based on leading-edge multi-layer architecture.
OpenSource technology WISE-Shop 2 is based on open source technologies, including Java, MySQL, the Apache webserver, the Velocity template engine and the Tomcat servlet engine. No license fees are required.
Multi-layer architecture WISE-Shop 2 uses multi-layer architecture, separating the application into a design layer, which defines the visual design of the shop, a middle layer, which handles the business logic, and a database layer, which saves customer and business data.
Separating each layer in this way delivers a number of advantages: each layer can be individually maintained and upgraded as needed. The application is easily scalable: because each layer can run on its own dedicated hardware, new hardware can be added without the need for downtime of the system as a whole.
Separating functionality and design
WISE-Shop 2 separates the design applications from the function-based applications. Templates enable the design of the shop interface to be tailored to your changing requirements, without influencing the function of the system.
Greater range of functions The WISE-Shop 2 shop framework offers all the core functions required by a modern e-shop: session and user administration, a mailing system, a reporting framework for evaluation, a text search tool and high-performance caching. WISE-Shop 2 is multi-client capable and can be used for e-shop subsidiaries in other countries.
Controlling with landmarks
The landmark-based controlling system enables the evaluation of search requests, shopping-basket cancellations and the sales of individual products. WISE-Shop 2 makes the success of your shop transparent: potential problems can be quickly identified, localized and solved. The system can be expanded to deliver individual reports at any time.
Outstanding scalability WISE-Shop 2 can be integrated into your IT network easily, thanks to interfaces included in the framework. For example, WISE-Shop2 offers compatibility with a range of product sales systems. Invoicing can be handled by any credit card or online fund transfer system that is supported by your product sales system.
